The Big Reveal

Whew!  I'm exhausted!  I knew I was pushing it waiting until the last minute to enter Joann's Contest...but man oh man!  What a stressful evening.  I completely finished the quilt yesterday, but today I had to take pictures (wash quilt and take more pictures), try 100 different ways to upload with my old camera, and then trying to figure out how to scan my receipts!  Okay, I have a printer/scanner, so it shouldn't have been that hard!  But for some reason I couldn't get it to scan!!!!  So I went out to Kinko's scanned my receipts and e-mailed them to myself...got home and realized that the file format from Kinko's was incorrect and couldn't be uploaded to Joann's!  And since they were PDF we (my AMAZING husband spent all evening helping me), couldn't get them to save as a different file format.  Very long story, only made a bit shorter....I FINALLY got the scanner to work and about 45 minutes until the deadline, I got my entry submitted!!!!  YAY!! My first contest!  :)  I can't believe I actually DID it!!!

Okay...so here it is...my Sweet Dreams Quilt.

I wanted to make an I-Spy quilt for the kids at the hospital, so I made one little practice one here.  And then I talked to my contact at the hospital and found out that the nurses use little cloth dolls to do medical play with the children.  The doll's faces are left blank so the children can draw on them themselves, and express how they're feeling, whether the doll is happy, sad, confused or scared.  And they are able to show the nurses where the dolls might have owies and get to use bandages and gauze to help make the doll feel all better.  It helps the children be able to express themselves, and be able to feel some amount of control over an otherwise very scary situation.  So...I drew up a pattern to make some! :)  The first couple I made kind of had square heads, but I'm getting better.  :)

So when I heard about Joann's contest, I knew I wanted to try and quilt, but I wanted to do a fun doll too....and then I thought...why not do BOTH together!!!  And from there the idea grew.  So the backside of the quilt is an I-spy, and the front is a wonderful play area for the little dolly.  There's a little bed (complete with stuffed pillow), so that the doll can sleep next to them at night, two different dresses for the doll to wear (attached to the quilt), and a dress/hospital gown that can be removed from the doll.  There's a river, with stepping stones or a drawbridge to cross leading to a castle...watch out for monsters!  And the little doll can actually go inside the castle to play!

This was so much work, and I've learned SO much!!!  I've never done this much applique...or quilting for that matter!  It's been amazing!  And although it's not perfect, I just LOVE how it came out!  And I can't wait to see the little girl who get's to keep this!  :)  (if I can pry it from my daughter's arms, that is)  :)

I'll probably take some more pictures tomorrow to post...but for now...I'm pooped!  :)  Relieved, excited, nervous, tired, but also very happy.  :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone!  Hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Down to the Wire!

Tomorrow is the last day for entering into the Joann's Craft for a Cause Contest...and we'll just say...I'm not done yet!!!  Eeeekkkk!!!  Of course, I might have been able to get more accomplished last night if my favorite show wasn't on!!!  Hellllloooo  Grey's Anatomy! :)  It's so funny, my husband is even addicted now to, and refers to it as 'our show'.  How funny!!

Okay...so enough chit chat...I've got some sewing to do!!!  And then once I'm done with this quilt, I've got a couple of Halloween costumes to finish up!  It's never as fun unless it's finished at the very last minute! :)

Happy Friday everybody and Happy Halloween!!  Muuuaaahhhaahaaa

(oh oh oh....one last thing...I've got a great new idea that I can't WAIT to share with everybody!  But it's still in the figuring out process, so I'll fill you all in when I get more information! :) yay yay yay...I'm REALLY excited about this one!  And it's going to involve all of you guys!!!)  :)

Cutest little Gnomes I've EVER seen!!

OH my gosh!  So I just found a wonderful tutorial on how to make THEE cutest little gnomes!

Gingercake Blog
I can't WAIT to make some of these adorable little gnomes.  I know my daughter would just LOVE a ton of these, and I'm thinking they might make good little playthings for the kids at the hospital too.  Yay!  Head over to Gingercake's blog to check out the awesome tutorial.

By the way...just found out that my Aunt wants to know if I want to have a table at her annual Christmas Bazaar!!!  Hello....yes!  Only down-side is that it's in like 2 weeks!!! AHHH!  And I've never sold ANYTHING before!  I want to!  I've dreamed about selling things...but I don't know WHAT I would make that someone else might actually want to spend money on!  I mean, giving homemade gifts is one thing....expecting someone to pay actual money for something is quite another.  But I'm excited!  Apprehensive, nervous, a little scared, but TOTALLY excited!  I hope I can pull it off!  :)  Wish me luck, and I'll let you all know when I make the final decision whether to go for it or not.

OH!  Almost forgot...The Practical Guide to Patchwork blog tour stop is at Film in the Fridge today...go check it out, and OF COURSE there's another awesome giveaway!

Looks like fun! :)

Friday Night Sew-In

I just signed up for November's Friday Night Sew-In!!! Yay...I really like being a part of the sew-in, even if I haven't been that successful the last couple of months...see here and here.  But it's still nice to have an excuse to spend the whole evening at least TRYING to accomplish sewing projects.  :)  So if you want to join up, just go put your name on the list over at Handmade by Heidi's blog!  It's that easy.  The next one is going to be on November 19th, so you've (I've) got some time to get everything ready for it.  :)

Oh...and my sweet husband got all of the stuff down from the attic night before last!  Yay!  So I've hooked up the old computer, and soon shall have wonderful pictures to share!  Just in time, I'm almost done with my 'surprise' charity quilt, and I can't wait to share with all of you.  It might not be as perfect as I'd like, but considering it will only be my second complete quilt, I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along! :)  Yay!!! Can't wait to show you all! :)

And I've been SO lucky with amazing giveaways lately, but I haven't wanted to post without pictures to show too....so that will all be coming soon! :)  What a lucky gal, I know! :)

Happy Wednesday everybody! (wow...I actually had to stop and think about what day of the week it was!  Scary!)  :)

Happy Monday morning!

I am getting SO bummed about not having a good camera...(I know, you're probably all getting sick of hearing me complain)...but just one last waaaaaaa! :)  I don't even like to post if I don't have fun pictures to share too.  My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, (wow, I didn't realize it was that close!)...anyways, so I'm hoping maybe I can get a replacement as a nice little b-day present.

{And just as a little side note...Kate, if you've read any of my boo-hooing about the camera, I hope you know I really don't blame David or anything, he's a baby...that's what babies do.  Just like when he drew on the wall with marker the other day that I can't get off...it happens.  :)}

You know what would help a little bit...that wouldn't cost ANY money at all??  If my loving husband would go up to the attic and bring down the old computer so that I can use it to upload pics from the old camera that works with it. (And doesn't with my newer laptop).  Maybe he just needs me to ask him ONE more time.  :)

OH! So I didn't even mention that I had an AMAZING weekend!!!  Friday night was girl's night with little miss.  We rented My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake AND Care Bear movies and spent all night hanging out and watching fun movies.  I LOVE that she's getting big enough to girl's night stuff with me! :)

And then Saturday my wonderful husband took BOTH kids for a whole day with daddy!  He knew I needed to spend some time working on my charity quilt that needs to be done by the 30th.  So he took the kids out to a fun lunch, then to a movie at the dollar theater, THEN to ice cream and to play on some toys at an indoor play area!!!  They were pooped by the time they got home, but they had SO much fun!  And I made some amazing progress on my quilt!!!  I got the top done, now I just need to sandwich, quilt and bind!!!  YAY!!!  I'm SO excited!  It's really turning out great!!  I can't wait to share pictures with everyone!  And I'm going to contact the hospital to find out how they want to decide who to give it to, since I only have one...for now.  :)

And then Sunday we had a pumpkin carving get-together with the family.  We had everyone over to the house and my husband made his awesome chile and WE all ate way too much Halloween candy and goodies.  And then carved up some humongous pumpkins we got!!  It was really a good time!  And each year when we've all got our pumpkins opened up and cleaned out on the table someone always leaves to do something and they become the first victim of our family humor.....and receives a huge pile of pumpkin guts thrown back into their pumpkin as a nice little surprise when they return.  This year it was my dad....he called us jerks...but it was still pretty funny! :)

I love my family, they're all such a bunch of smartalecs (?)....but it makes getting together so much fun.  We all give each other such a hard time.  Like when Allen (the hubs), cut up his whole pumpkin with a gigantic butcher knife (instead of the little knives used for doing the designs), and everyone was scared he was going to stab the table or hurt himself!!!  He looked like a madman!  (he's great!) :)

What a wonderful weekend!!  And now I'm SO looking forward to finishing my quilt and showing everyone.  And then I've got to make the kids' Halloween costumes! YIKES!!!  Better get to it or they're going to have to wear their costumes from last year!!! :)

The Upside

I figure I better hurry up and write the upside to all of this before too many people feel sorry for me (although, of course, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness).  :)  I just don't want to feel like I pity myself, because I really don't (or at least, try really hard not too).  I'm not sorry that everything happened the way it did.  There are too many really scary what-ifs to wish it had gone any other way.  I have to tell myself that I was meant to pick up that can and that it was better me than any of the other alternatives.

At the hospital was really hard, I missed my daughter who stayed with my sister, and I had a 4 month old son who still needed me.  But the biggest issue was how incredibly uncomfortable I was, my skin was so sensitive, everything I touched was painful.  And the hospital grade blankets were pretty scratchy to say the least, I remember joking with my husband that you'd think they would have softer blankets in the Burn Center of all places.  So when I got home that's what I decided I wanted to do, make blankets for the kids at the hospital.  I think I've been searching for a while to find a way to help others, and here was the perfect opportunity.  I remember seeing a little girl with bandages on both legs trying to walk down the hall with her mother and it broke my heart.  I can't imagine having to watch your child go through the kind of trauma I myself was having a hard time dealing with, not to mention the pain and recovery.

I didn't know how I was going to sew a blanket, so I spent a lot of time stumped on that one, funny quilting never even occurred to me!  For a while now I've wanted to have a website, start my own business or start a blog.  I found Blogger and decided to just take the leap and do it....and what did I find, but tons and tons of AMAZING quilting blogs!  So I've got my answer, I'm learning how to quilt so that I can make blankets for the kids at the Burn Center.  I have been able to collect donations from my family and friends and brought bags and bags of crayons, puzzles, books, coloring books and beads for crafts for the kids, until I can bring in some blankets.  I want to do so much more.  I'm working on my second charity quilt (the first was kind of a practice), and I'm going to try to enter it into the Craft for a Cause Contest with Joanns.  The prize is a gift card to Joanns, and with it I could make a LOT more quilts. :)

So, it's all working out.  There's still a lot I'm dealing with personally, but I've got some great goals to look forward to.  :)

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments and support.  The whole blogging community has been such a wonderful place to find, it has opened up my little world and has provided so much joy and inspiration.

Can't sleep

It's past 11:00, everyone is sleeping, the house is quiet and I'm wide awake.  My house is too small to try and sew anything while anyone else sleeps, so here I am...old faithful.  It's starting to rain outside, I love that sound on the roof and windows.  I just found out we have a leak in our skylight (right above my craft area of course), and I should probably go make sure everything is unplugged.  Healthy fear of random fires.  Okay, so I thought I might explain that too.  I was trying to be brief in my summary of self, but hope it didn't come off as trying to be too vague or mysterious or something...that wasn't my intention.  ;)

So, 11:00 at night when I can't sleep (and it's on my mind, probably part of the reason I can't sleep)...is as good a time as any to write this down...

And there's really no short way to get through this, so, sorry about that.

Last year we lived in a (really cute) 3 bedroom apartment and it had it's own little laundry room across from our bedroom.  It was about, I don't know, 5' by 5', 6' by 6' or something....but pretty small, just enough room for a door, a little walk-in area and the washer and dryer.  We were getting ready to go out to dinner with my brother and I was putting away some stuff on the shelf above the dryer, and a can of spray paint got knocked off of the shelf and fell into the corner next to the dryer.  It started to spray blue paint all over.  I yelled to my husband to grab a towel or something to throw over it.  I thought maybe just the nozzle was stuck or something, so I picked it up to try and stop the spraying.

As soon as I had it in my hands, I could feel how much pressure was coming out of the can, and immediately knew I shouldn't have picked it up, and then it burst into flames.  Later, the fire inspector told my family that the heat from the back of the dryer had ignited the fumes in the room.  I think they call it a flash fire, it was like an explosion, and it was enough that it pushed the door closed behind me.  I remember screaming, and not being able to get the door open, and hearing my husband yell.  And then I did get the door open, and I saw my daughter standing in my bedroom doorway across the hall.  All I could think was that the fire was going to come out of the room with me, so I pushed Lillian back into the bedroom and closed the door, then ran down the hall.  Everything happened so fast, when we realized the fire wasn't spreading and that we had to get OUT of the apartment, I ran and grabbed Lillian and my husband grabbed our then 4 month old son and we ran out of the apartment.

There's really no way to explain how lucky we were.  I had (only) second and third degree burns on my arms, hands and parts of my face, and I luckily to not need any skin graphs.  The fire inspector talked to my brother while I was at the hospital and told him that he had never seen anything like it before, the laundry room was toast, and he said that if there hadn't been a sprinkler IN the laundry room above my head, that I probably wouldn't have made it out.

I've never experienced anything like this before in my life, and it's something that is almost hard to even explain.  I was incredibly lucky in my injuries and yet it was THE MOST pain I have ever been in, in my life.  And that includes both child births.  There is nothing like it....it was absolutely unbearable.  All of the skin was gone on the tops of my right fingers, my husband had to tie up my hair for me, and help with all of those little everyday things.  And because my arms were so burned and sensitive he had to hold my son while I nursed.

It was incredible, it was over a year ago now, and I can honestly say I'm nowhere near over it.  I can still hear myself screaming, and my daughter repeating...mommy got paint on me, mommy pushed me...and I still feel that guilt, (even though I know I shouldn't).  And among other things, I hate the microwave, and although I don't let that fear guide my life, every time I use the microwave I have this knot in my stomach and a fear that somehow it's going to spontaneously explode into flames in my face.  I have many fears that I didn't have before.  And there are also positive things I have learned through this experience too, but now I feel too exhausted to write them coherently.  I may actually be able to sleep now, having been able to vent my troubles with all of you.

Sorry this isn't fun and crafty, but it's me, and I guess I can't apologize for that.  Maybe tomorrow we'll be in higher spirits and get through the upside to all of this.  :)

Lend a Hand....and a vote

If anyone noticed, I updated my blog background not long ago.  I found the most amazing free blog design site Shabby Blogs and LOVE their designs!  Anyways I started following their blog too and I recently read about an awesome cause they're promoting.  There is an amazing young Eagle Scout Candidate who is in the running for a grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project.  He is trying to get a Liberty Swing put in at his local park, it is an amazing one-of-a-kind swing for people who have disabilities.  So if you'd like to help, go vote for him at The Pepsi Refresh Project.  And if you want to read more about Shabby Blogs and this amazing young man head over to their blog!

THANKS!

Let me introduce myself

I thought it's about time I actually introduced myself.  Okay...so here's the general stuff:

  • My name is Teresa Weatherly....before I was married, I was one of 'the Flynn kids'
  • I have two beautiful and amazing kids of my own
  • I married my husband after knowing him for only 3 1/2 months....we just had our 7 year anniversary!
  • My kids don't have a bedtime; most of the time it works out wonderfully, but sometimes it doesn't.
  • I'm the youngest of 5....(thus...the flynn kids)
  • My husband likes to make dinner, and I like to let him.
  • I was a Sgt (sergeant) in the United States Marine Corps
  • I didn't go to Iraq
  • I enjoy watching cartoons and kid movies just as much as my kids do.
  • I love to sew, crochet (but not knit), paint, do remodel kind of stuff around the house and most other crafts...besides knitting (it just bothers me for some reason!) :)
  • I'm from Seattle, but have lived in many other places...Japan, North Carolina, California and St. Louis MO.
  • I have an Associates Degree in 'nothing-in-particular', but have taken a lot of Architecture classes.
  • I used to work out twice a day almost every day, and now I look in the mirror and cringe (TMI?)
  • I played soccer for 12 years and would LOVE to play again.
  • My favorite daydream (when not craft related) is usually about winning the lottery or wearing a size 6 (this must be a dream!!)  :)
  • In 2005 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia (whatever that means) and neurocardiogenic syncope (I know what that means), 5 years later and I'm still a mess.
  • My children are blonde with curly hair....I'm a thick headed haired brunette?!??!
  • My kids are hilarious and make me laugh EVERY SINGLE DAY!  They really are the best!
  • I want to start my own business when I grow up
  • I watch my sister's 10 month old son 5 days a week
  • I've spent time addicted to Craigslist, I've been cured by being introduced to Crafting Blogs!!! :)
  • I love to read (and collect) books, especially old and classics...or English History
  • I want to make quilts and other blankets for children in the hospital (on a regular, on-going basis...I thought about starting a Non-profit or charity group...but I just don't know.)
  • Last year I was in a horrible fire that changed my life.  I'm still trying to turn it into a positive...(see last bullet.)  :)
  • I NEVER talk this much about myself, and this post will probably sit in my saved posts file for a couple of weeks before I get up the nerve to post it.
So that's me...in a nutshell...after so many posts it's nice to finally meet all of you.  :)

Friday Night Sew In Results

It's almost midnight...and the results are in...I need a vacation!  Okay, so it wasn't totally a wash, but I didn't make any miracles happen here either.  But hey, on the upside I did get through some design issues I'm having.  It's kind of a surprise quilt (I guess), so I was thinking I didn't want to get into too much details about what I'm doing...but I'm hoping it will be like this AMAZING charity quilt for some special little girl at the Burn Center.  It's just a matter of pulling off all of the amazing ideas I have! :)  (Oh....and if I'm going to enter it into the Joanns Contest, I've only got a couple of weeks to finish it up...did I forget to mention that????)  Yeah...I need to get going on it!

So why, you might ask, am I blogging and not frantically taking this opportunity while everyone else is sleeping to make some progress???  Well, any minute now, I feel like I'm going to vomit!  Yuck!  Not sure what's going on...but I feel pretty terrible, it might be the cup of coffee I had at 9:00 to try and help me energize for what I thought was going to be a wonderfully long night of sewing, or it could be the (little gag) CHILI DOG I had for dinner (and scarfed down so I could get back to sewing)...ooooorrrrrr it could be a combination of BOTH!!  Oh, and because of that lovely little cup of coffee...now I can't even go in and try and go to sleep...(well, I mean...I tried, but I just tossed and turned...and regretted that cup of coffee).  (oh...and I regret the chili dog too, even though it was amazing at the time.)  :)

And on top of THAT I have this annoying pounding in my left ear that's been bothering me for the last week...and yes, it's specifically my left ear.  I have tinnitus which is generally in my right ear (which is just a bit of ringing), but that just comes and goes and lasts only a couple of seconds, no big deal.  But this is persistent...it's a pounding, pulsating...it's annoying, and I think it's making my hearing bad!  What's up with THAT??!??!  Man...if I didn't hate doctors so much I might recommend to myself to go in.  Ah well! :)  I'm sure it'll pass.

Anyways, kind of bummed I didn't get more accomplished, but there's always tomorrow.

Yay what a Day!

So I was initially going to come on here because I just finished watching How to Train Your Dragon and it was AWESOME!!  But we're going to have to come back to that, because as soon as I picked up the computer (it's a laptop) I HAD to check my e-mails first, of course....and what was waiting for me in my Inbox???  Not just one but TWO....You're our Winner e-mails!  How AWESOME is that??!??!  I'm totally excited!

The first e-mail I got was from Elizabeth at A Pieceful Life blog.  I won her Fall into Fall giveaway of 3 books, a fat quarter of Castle Peeps fabric, a charm pack of Bella Solids in fall colors, and a cute little quilted mug rug!!  Yay...yay...yay!
And THEN I saw that I also got an e-mail from Monica at Diary of A Quilt Maven that I was one of 5 winners from her giveaway.  I got to choose my favorites from 5 different gifts, and I won't know which one I get until it arrives at the door!  How fun!  All of the prizes were amazing, there was fabric, patterns, all sorts of goodies, I'll LOVE ANY of the gifts!  I can't believe I've been so lucky lately...(I guess it's luck AND the fact that there have been SO many wonderful and generous giveaways lately!)

Because I also got some wonderful goodness in the mail today too!  Last week I won a giveaway for a jelly roll of City Weekend from the Lucy and Norman.  It is SO pretty, I'm torn...I can't WAIT to make something beautiful with it...but on the other hand, I just want to stare at it, and never unroll it! :)
Okay...so lucky gal, I know!  I feel SO lucky!  And then on his way home from work today, hubby dropped by the store and picked up the very newly released How to Train Your Dragon, which we have been anxiously waiting to see!  It was SO worth the wait!  What a cute movie.  It was pretty funny, we put it on as soon as my husband got home, the kids ran off to play and him and I sat and watched the whole thing!  What dorks!  But it was a really good one.

Oh, and nevermind that tonight is FRIDAY NIGHT SEW IN and I haven't done ANY sewing yet tonight!!!!  As soon as I'm done with this post I'm supposed to be heading over to my sewing area for the evening, but I can already smell something a little, how shall I say....okay, no nice way to put it...POOPY!  So I'll change my son's diaper and THEN I'll be ready for a late night of sewing.  (wink wink).  Well, I'm going to try at least!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!  :)

Out on the Town!

My husband and I actually went out to dinner Saturday....without the kids!  Unbelievable!  It was our friend's birthday, so my niece watched the kids and hubby and I went to dinner, and then to the birthday party.  It was a lot of fun, I convinced my brother to go with us and we really had a blast...(he's HILARIOUS).  Let me put it this way...I spent the majority of the evening on the dance floor...and I'm NOT a good dancer!  I'm just a goof, but that makes it fun!

So Sunday morning I found out that my niece was going to a Baby Shower with her mom and they hadn't gotten their present yet.  So I said...."ummm...I've got some little girlie fabrics, we could make something!"  So we did!  SHE did!  She did all of the cutting, and I showed her how to use the machine.  It was her first time using a sewing machine!  I was so happy to be able to share that with her.  And I think she really liked it, so I told her to think about if there's anything else she'd like to make and we'll get together and make something else for her.  How fun!  I hope she really likes doing it and catches the 'bug'.  :)

Camera situation update: I got the older camera from my brother...but don't have a cord to upload to my computer.  :(  Man!  I've got so much I want to share, and I CAN'T!!  My sister and I went to Joann's and we found this really cute pattern for making felt fruits and cupcakes and stuff.  My daughter was SO excited.  Thankfully she asked for the banana first, which was a relief because it looked the easiest! :)  I made one Saturday morning, and then she said she needed MORE.  So last night my husband put Matthew to sleep and Lilly and I had a girl's night, just the two of us!  It was so much fun.  We ate strawberry ice cream and watched Strawberry Shortcake...we danced and laughed and then while I made a couple more bananas she used my thimbles and thread spools to set up a tea party for her Strawberry Shortcake dolls.  It was so cute! (Got a picture of that on my camera too!)  :)  She's so adorable...I just love her to pieces!!!  Hopefully I'll be able to figure out a solution for the camera soon.

What a great weekend! (oh! Besides when Lilly got poked in the eye!  Like, a serious poke in the eye!  And husband took off work early to take her to the doctor today!....THANKFULLY it's fine, she just needs some eye drops!  Having kids is scary!  :)  But AMAZING!)

Back to the blog...

I'm sure you've all missed my wonderful posts and wondered where I've been! :)  Well, I've been here (at home like always) being occupied with the daily 'stuff'

Side note:  my daughter has made a lego "buwer" that she is using to "spit fireballs" at me with.  So funny, she doesn't know the word gun (yet, I'm sure) so she calls it a buwer, because it goes bew, bew, bew...makes sense right? :)

Anyways, back to my infrequency of posts.....I got a couple of things accomplished lately....I made a felt board for my daughter and rearranged her room yesterday so that we could fit it in her room.  And we printed out some fun fairy play pieces that we cut out, and little fairy houses for them.  All VERY interesting stuff, I know!

But I also have been working on a special item that I'm making for Joann Fabrics Craft for a Cause Contest.
If you haven't heard about it, it's a great contest where you make any item of your choice for a charity of your choice, and 5 top winners chosen will receive a $1500 Joann's gift card.  Awesome huh?  I thought so, and since I've been working with the Children's wing of the Burn Center at Harborview Hospital, I figured...Why not???!!!  Sounded right up my ally.  So I'm working on that, and I'm going to kind of leave it as a surprise until I'm finished...I know, you're all on pins and needles here.  :)

Other than that....still bummed about the camera, and missing it a TON.  I've got to get ahold of my brother to get my old one.  I'm missing great pictures of the kids!  Plus...I have nothing to share with you guys!

So that's it...THAT'S what you've all been missing.

How about I leave you with a video of the kids....this is one of my favorites.  So typical, Lillian dancing and acting silly and Matthew...well, being Matthew! :)  (you'll see at the end, don't forget to turn your volume up....and by the way...she's singing 'Who's got the Funk')

Have a great weekend everybody!  :)
